$30, covers all season and playoffs if applicable.

 

The Layout

People are split evenly into 4-6 divisions if 28 or more are in the league (top 4 from previous year are already locked in new spots to mix things up, rest are randomly placed). Less than 28, groups everyone together with payouts going to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. Regular season game values;

• 3 points if outer conference- ex: AFCW vs NFCW

• 5 points if inner conference- ex: AFCW vs AFCN

• 10 points if division games- ex: AFCW vs AFCW

Points rollover weekly with division winners at the end getting paid out and locking up 4 of 8 playoff spots. If the “total wins” winner is not a division winner, he/she locks up a wild card spot. The other wild card spots are the next best records. Total wins play as tie breaker for season, season points play as tiebreaker for total wins, and both weekly standing totals can play as tiebreakers if it needs to go further.

 

The Payout

Payouts go to division winners, most total wins, and champion primarily, but if enough people enter then payouts will extend to 2nd place and a consolation bracket, which would be the top 8 outside of wild card and division winners.

All payouts are made within a week of announcement.

 

The Picks

Picks are due by midnight the day before the first game of the week. For example, most weeks have a Thursday game so most weekly picks are due Wednesday. This year we have a couple Wednesday games, so picks would be due Tuesday that week and the last week or 2, consist of just Saturday/Sunday games, those would be due Friday, even if all games are Sunday.

Picks can be submitted through the website pick sheet, text, or e-mailed

 

Late Picks

If you are late on picks, you can still submit them but if I have already finished and posted them, you will have the option of default picks, which is your favorite team and all away/road teams for full credit, or all your changed picks at half credit, rounded up. For example, if a week shows up with a lot of 3 and 5 point games, and home teams are favored, it would be worth submitting late and taking half credit for 2 and 3 respectively, instead of relying on all sorry road teams for full credit.

There are no refunds, once the season kicks off you are committed. Should the season end early due to some pandemic and/or league suspension in its entirety, then exceptions will be made but it will be depending on how far we are along. Money will then either be paid out as is, rolled over to next season, or refunded and will go to league vote as any other issue that comes up.

 

Survivor

$20, one bye week

Sounds easy, just pick one winning team to go on. You cannot pick the same team again. You will get one bye week which is just an automatic pass to the next week. If the team you pick ends in a tie, you lose, because you are picking a team to win, not picking a team to not lose.

If all participants lose/win in the same week, everyone still playing advances but that team selected cannot be picked again.

Winner takes all, but once the league drops to 3 or less people and we are past week 10, a partial chop will be allowed if all participants left are willing. Example here is if the prize if $400, and 3 people are left, they would have the option to each take $100, and continue play for the remaining $100. It helps ease the stress as the season progresses.
